I was inspired and taught by Mary Owens when I attended the S.D.P painting convention in Wichita in 1999.

Mary Owens is a New Yorker and has developed a wonderful technique of pen and wash in oils. This gives you a softer more watercolour look than acrylics.

It is an interesting technique that you will enjoy and it will inspire you to rouge all kinds of projects. Instead of washing with acrylics, we rouge in oils.

This is a fun and easy method and looks fantastic.

Rouging classes are on at any time – just enquire – or have a look at upcoming workshops.

Patterns are available for $16- each with excellent instructions by Mary Owens. There are also patterns available by Jessica Alden.

For sale in the studio are DVD’s by Mary Owens. These teach you everything about Rouging, there are 2 available “Last Days of Autumn” and “The Milkhouse” $45- each.
